Kartini– Some of us may have felt bored. Especially those of us who follow the routines that we usually do every day, which are very monotonous, so that they cause boredom. Like or not, the routine cannot be avoided. And we cannot escape in an effort to free ourselves from boredom. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with developing new habits so that we can increase our motivation in carrying out our daily activities.

1. Write Positive Things to Increase Motivation

As a form of gratitude, it is good for us to write down events or things that we are grateful for daily. Writing what we are thankful for daily will remind us that what we go through in one day must have something to be grateful for and do well. Even the writings of gratitude that we write can be a flashback for us; if we are in the future and want to see what things we have been grateful for during our lives, we can occasionally see the writing. In addition, it can also increase our motivation to do new things and do other good things as a form of our consistency to always be grateful to Allah SWT.

2. Self-Relaxation

Self-relaxation can be our new habit, considering that our bodies also need attention. Every day, we do activities that take up our time, so we don’t have time to pay attention to our body condition. For example, we can use our free time for breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, and so on. With this relaxation, we can focus our mind on something calming so that it increases our body awareness.

3. Gather with The Community

In addition to gathering with family. Another habit that you can do is gather in a community. You may already feel comfortable in your current condition, but you may experience boredom one day. Therefore, gathering with a new community will create new colours and enthusiasm, becoming your new habit. For example, you can join an environmental care community, religious community, reading community, social community, etc. These habits can add new energy and increase our insight into the community.

4. Reading Your Favorite Book

This habit may be familiar to some people. Reading your favourite book can be your new habit; in your spare time, it is a good idea to read books to overcome boredom. Choose a book that suits your field of interest; for beginners, choose a book that is light enough to read. If your habit is ingrained, you will automatically get used to reading other books. Reading will broaden your insight. Of course, there are many benefits that we can take from reading activities. Try to make sure the book we read is not an E-book. So that you have your own time to read books without gadgets.
